Harold E. (Trey) Scroggins, III was born October 1st 1981 in Lufkin, Texas. Trey grew up in the DFW area, but moved
back to Lufkin in 2000 so he could graduate from Lufkin High School just like his mother and father had 21 years
earlier. After high school, Trey returned to the DFW area where he was employed as a professional RC helicopter and
blimp pilot.

Trey was the RC pilot who flew the blimp around the inside of the American Airline Center during halftime and
intermission of the Dallas Maverick and Stars games, dropping coupons and goodies into the crowd. Trey went on to
fly RC’s for many of the major oil refineries in the Houston and Beaumont area, taking aerial photos in areas that where
not accessible by men.

In June 2006, Trey attended his first LDCC race and was hooked. Along with his step-dad, Dan Noble, Trey began the
search for a couple of cars. After a trip to Troy, Alabama, Trey became the proud owner of a black Pro Coupe. His first
race was the next to last race of the season at Grand Prairie Speedway for the LDCC.

Although his first start did not go down as earth shattering, Trey was not discouraged. He returned the next week for
the final race of the season with the determination to make a good showing. That he did. He would start the feature in
22nd place on a dry slick track, and would use this to his advantage as he moved his No. 88 up into the top 10 by lap
10. It was not to be for Trey on this night as he had to retire to the pits with battery trouble on lap 15. The 2007 season
saw Trey only attend 3 LDCC events as work obligations kept him away from the DFW area.

Trey was a friend to all LDCC drivers and officials, and everyone was Trey’s friend. Trey passed away December 6,
2007.  We will all miss you and God Speed.
