Wayne Hearne came from the back of the pack to grab 4th followed by Kenton Kinney, Max Miller, Jason Walters an= d Bill Pickett. Steve Wilson finished in 9th with Jason Bellows, James Lewis III and Bubba Reagan rounding out the field. Noble was running in a transfer spot with 2 laps to go when he did a half loop in turn 4 costing him 5th place. Noble’s bad luck did not end there as he was off the pace on the white flag lap mistaking it= for the checkered. At the drop of the green it was pole sitter Wayne Hearne = driving the Chasco Contracting 29, jumping into the early lead with a group of hung= ry drivers on his tail. On lap 5 the storm was starting to brew as= last year’s Rookie of The Year, Donnie Reagan, was tapped from behind going into turn 1 resulting in a spin and flat right rear tire. The field stayed under green as Reagan would not return to action. Reagan had not come to a = stop when the yellow flag flew for a hard crash in turn 3 involving father and s= on drivers Jim and James Lewis. James Lewis III spun in the middle of the turn when his fast closing dad came upon him sitting sideways in the track. With nowhere to go Jim spun his car to avoid the collision but it resulted in a = side to side hit. Both cars were heavily damaged but neither driver was hurt tha= nks to the extra safety equipment the Lewis’ wear. <o:p></o:p> On the lap 7 restart it was still Hearne on the = point with Benny Tufts, Richard Brooker, Dominick Palanza and Troop Miller making= up the top 5. At the drop of the green, bad luck struck Bill Pickett and Mike = Smith in the Lincoln Tech 02, as they both scored flat tires and were finished for the evening.
